The Purpose of the Totus Tuus Blog
The Totus Tuus student blog was created to give Rosary College students an opportunity to formulate their thoughts and interact with the intellectual tradition. Its focus is primarily on the integrated humanities, but extends more broadly to the Catholic, classical tradition. Through written insights and reflections, students are invited to relate truth and tradition to modern culture and practical daily life.
Why Totus Tuus?
Totus tuus, meaning “all yours,” is a Latin expression that was commonly used to sign off letters, much like “Yours truly.” Pope John Paul II, inspired by Louis de Montfort’s Mariology, adopted this phrase as his personal motto of consecration to Mary.
The Totus Tuus student blog will feature articles that share our students’ observations and experiences, offering reflections on the hope of revealing God’s sanctifying grace and Mary’s participation in that grace. By sharing these articles, we hope Our Lady of the Angels will draw you closer to herself and to God!
